Silence in the City
At ChangingGreen, we specialise in installing green walls and soft landscaping solutions across Ireland and Northern Ireland. While their visual appeal and sustainability benefits are well known, many people are unaware that living walls can also act as natural sound barriers — an elegant, eco-friendly way to reclaim peace in noisy environments.
Among the benefits that are associated with greenery systems for buildings, such as energy savings, biodiversity support, and storm-water control, there is also noise attenuation. Despite the fact that green walls are one of the most promising building greenery systems, few studies of their sound insulation potential have been conducted.
